Leaving from Sante Fe New Mexico we drove 7 hours to barely make this beautiful sunset at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
One of the great things about traveling from East to West is that when you want a little more time of day its nice to be chasing the sun in order to get those extra few minutes of light. We made it to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon just as the sun was making its way below the horizon. This is a great time to view the spectacular dusk colors painting the sky and the canyon. Being the third time for me seeing the canyon, first in the bitter cold of winter, its just as breathtaking. This is the first photo from my most recent cross country adventure, many more to come.
