Rolling through Los Padres National Forest a storm caused flash floods.
We arrived Saturday at Reyes Creek Campground at the center of Los Padres National Forest an hour or so before the first rain began. We were anticipating seeing The Alpine Camp perform their music at the camps bar and grill that evening. Our camp was set and protected right before it started to really get wet. The bar and grill provided shelter and a meal as the storm caused flash floods throughout the area. The roads became impassable due to flooding and landslides causing the drummer of the band to get stuck in his car on his way to the area. Since he wasn't going to make it that night to reunite with his other band members we did not see them perform. Nonetheless it was a fun night at a new campground and great to see some weather in California.
