Mojave Yucca in Joshua Tree

by williams424@gmail.com in nature, photography, travel

Amidst the ancient granite boulders of Joshua Tree National Park, diverse flora, such as this mojave yucca, fill the landscape.

Spending two nights out in the backcountry of the Pine City area of Joshua Tree National Park allowed for ample time to enjoy and soak in the area. Pine City has the usual scenery of huge boulder arrangements, cacti, wild flowers, various shrubs, joshua trees, but is unique in this specific area to have pinyon pine trees. It was a Valentines day weekend well spent in the dessert loving the peacefulness of the desert, company of great people, and vigorous exercise, hiking, and climbing.
