Since I've been in Hawaii I've been shooting whenever I get the chance with my GoPro HD HERO. On a recent kayaking trip out to the Mokulua Islands in Kailua, our kayak flipped while riding onto the shore. My favorite cam was sadly lost at sea. However this was the ultimate excuse to upgrade my gear and purchase the new GoPro HDHERO2. This camera is great and totally worth the purchase. The lens is definetely an improvement, and although not perfect, does much better in lower lighting conditions. I've had a blast shooting with it at Sandy's Beach in Honolulu, where people go to get worked by some super fun and heavy shorebreak. Its nice to also have the floaty red backdoor attachment, so hopefully I won't loose it out in the water too soon. Bodyboarders ride some fast, steep drops at this beach leading them to get covered in the frothy barrels, like this little dude. I've filmed everyday there thus far so I'll have a fun Sandy's video to share by then end of the month, so check back soon!
